XP-AntiSpy
More of a “utility” than a spyware or adware remover XP-AntiSpy however can help safe guard a Windows XP system by allowing you to easily disable several features in the XP OS that many consider security flaws.
One feature that many feel is important to “deactivate” is Auto Updates and XP-AntiSpy makes tweaking these settings a breeze. While all these tweaks can be done manually it would be much more time consuming (and hazardous to your pc if you don’t know what your doing) and being this program is offered for free XP users might want to take a look at this little app.
XP-Antispy was successfully tested by many users and was found to disable all the known `Suspicious` Functions in WindowsXP.

Changes:
In the connection limit dialog, now backups can be created.
The offset for the connection limit setting is now detected automatically. So, upcoming updates of the file tcpip.sys should require no update of the xp-AntiSpy.
The settings for the Microsoft Internet Explorer are updated to match those of the Internet Explorer 7.0.
