Remove Think-ADZ Spyware

Remove Think-ADZ - Think-ADZ is one of those awful spyware parasites that can be very difficult to remove and detect. The best way to remove this from your system is to have a good spyware removal program installed on your system. A program that detects, removes and blocks spyware, malware and other threats is ideal and every computer should have one installed. Using one of these programs is the fastest and safest method to remove Think-ADZ and other malware like it.

You can attempt a manual removal of Think-ADZ if you know what you are doing. Therefore, to be sure that you are not going to cause potential problems answer these questions. 1) Can you backup your registry? – If yes, then do it now. 2) Do you know what safe mode is and do you know how to start your system in safe mode. If yes, we are making progress. 3) Do you have your original Windows CD or recovery CD in case of problems? If no, stop here and do not proceed with a manual removal until you have a backup of your operating system. 4) Do you know how to use the task manager or process explorer to locate and kill running programs safely? If yes, then continue.

Now that you have everything in place to ensure that you can recover from a minor mistake, we can proceed with the manual uninstall. Keep in mind that Think-ADZ and other parasites like it can repair themselves and reinstall themselves if not completely removed from your system. If this occurs, it becomes extremely difficult to find and delete. The reason these malicious programs are called parasites is that just like a parasite, eventually this type of malware will kill your system. Follow these removal instructions exactly.

o Locate and kill the process trees associated with Think-ADZ. You can do this through task manager or process explorer: kwinkrex.exe and nsdsregk.exe

o Locate the following files on your system and in your system’s registry. You will need to search your drives using the search feature in the start menu. After you remove them using the start menu, search go to the start menu and select run. Type in regedit and hit enter. Search for the following files and delete them as they occur. Do this by selecting edit, find. Then hit find next to be sure you have removed all instances of each file.

* ExploreUpdSched
* kwinkrex.exe
* nsdsregk.exe
* Think-Adz.Ink
* winpfz32.sys

Now that you have removed all of these files from your system and your systems registry, reboot your computer and go through the process again to make sure that all instances of these files are removed. If none of the files are located, your system is clean. If you do locate these files again, repeat the entire process until you no longer have any trace of this on your system.

Finally, install a really good anti-spyware program. This will help you to avoid the need to remove Think-ADZ and other parasites like it in the future.
