Remove Mirar Toolbar

April 23, 2008

The Mirar tool bar is advertised to be a browser help object (BHO) that aids you in retrieving and locating websites quickly. In reality, it is more like spyware. This program embeds itself into your computer’s registry making it difficult to completely remove. To complicate matters further it may contain keystroke loggers and other spyware to provide information on your internet activity to third parties without your consent. No wonder so many people wish to remove this from their systems.

You can rid your system of the Mirar Toolbar easily with software. However, if you do not have software capable of doing this (it would require a good registry cleaner) then you will need to do it manually. In order to accomplish this task successfully the following tasks must be completed successfully.

o First, delete all Mirar processes.
o Then, delete and remove all Mirar registry entries and values.
o Next, unregister all of the Mirar .dll files.
o Finally, delete all remaining Mirar files.

Here is how to remove the Mirar processes. Open your start menu and select the search option. You want to search for files and folders containing the name mirarsetup.exe. Once you have located these files, delete them. Let the search complete to be sure you remove all instances of these files. Then perform a second search for the file 875455-NOSB.exe Let the search complete and delete all instances of these files. This is step one.

Next on our list is to delete and remove all Mirar registry entries and values. To do this go to your start menu, select run, and type in the word regedit and hit enter. Be very careful and you may want to do a registry backup before you go any further with this. If you make a mistake and delete a file not listed here, you can cause damage to your system that may not be recoverable. Below are the files you need to search for. To do this select find from the tabs at the top of the screen.
o Search for all instances of mirarsetup.exe and delete them. There should be at least 3 entries.
o Search for all instances of oneMapDomains. Delete all entries.
