The Psyme trojan takes advantages of a security flaw in Internet Explore and tries to install additional spyware / malware onto the users pc. What makes this trojan so tricky is that it embeds itself into an html, php or asp “web document”, when a server calls the page a the trojan will try to install itself.

Once installed on a pc the trojan then copies itself to the computers directory, often times as: q123.vbs.

The spyware application then tries to terminate several programs including

DRWEB.exe
Outlook.exe

This virus first started showing up around 2004 / 2005. This is a malicious app and you should take the proper action to remove it from your system if you think you might have been infected with this malware.
