Protecting Your Computer From Spyware
November 24, 2006
Spyware has been a problem for pc users for many years now, spyware can have many adverse effects on your personal computer like loss of data, system crashes, loss of pc performance and even cost you financially as some malicious webmaster could even steal personal data.
While the threat of spyware and adware seams to be getting worse and worse by the day the good news is that their are many fine “anti” spyware and adware applications that can safeguard your personal computer for many of these threats.
While many of the best anti spyware programs are free it is commonly believed that the best course of action against spyware is to have several utilities available when havoc strikes.
Many of the best anti spyware packages available today also offer “real time protection” which in essence guards your pc from any future attacks. I have personally used Counter Spy which offers this protection and it has kept my machine spyware free for years now.
Understand that no one anti spyware program can keep your system safe from all Internet threats, so your best best is to install several of these programs prior to any system problems. Any pc user that is setting up a brand new computer will want to take this approach, further more make sure your new pc has some type of anti spyware “real time protection” installed to keep your machine running smooth for months to come.
