Today P2P (peer to peer) software programs are popular among pc users however it is important to know that some many of these free programs come bundled with adware that can have adverse effects on computer performance.
Some of these programs include the notorious Kazaa, Imesh and Grokster, while these programs offer users a simple and easy way to share files with one another they also open up the door for spyware and adware infections. While you might think your downloading a zip file of your favorite songs by U2 (which is also illegal by the way) you might be downloading spyware that could result in annoying computer problems and even identity theft.
Adware can eat system resources, slow down your system, clash with other installed software, or just plain crash your browser or even Windows itself.
